Soccer Team Water Bottle Ornament

When it was my turn to bring snacks for the soccer team, I had to do something crafty to give to the kids.  I made little ornaments to put around the water bottles.

Instead of 'cool' and 'thanks' responses, I got 'what's this?' and 'why did you do this?'  But that is ok.  I still think they were fun.  If the kids saved them, they could use them as an ornament on their Christmas tree to remember this soccer season.  The only thing I didn't do was put the league and 2010 on them...why didn't I think of that in the down-to-the-wire time I spent making these things???  Oh well, I will remember that for next time.

Start with soccer paper and green & black cardstock.  I cut out soccer balls from the soccer paper and used my 2" circle punch to cut out circles from the cardstock.

I used double sided tape to stick the soccer ball to the green cardstock.  It would have saved a lot of time if I had just purchased soccer ball stickers.  I used white mailing labels and printed go team! and then cut that out and stuck that to the green circle under the soccer ball.

Using the glue stick, put glue all over the black circle.  Stick the curling ribbon in the glue and then stick the green circle on tip.

This was really simple and easy.  Next time I will add the league and year.

Here is the tutorial.  Happy Crafting!
